Registration begins at 5:30pm with the competition following at 6:00. Competitors must be registered by 6:00pm or they will not be allowed to participate. This event will be held rain or shine. The Pitch, Hit & Run Competition is the Official Skills Competition of Major League Baseball®. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball skills. The competition includes pitching at a target, hitting baseballs from a fixed tee for distance and accuracy, and running from 2nd base to home plate for a timed score. Competitors are divided into four age divisions (boys and girls compete separately): 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 and have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including the Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the MLB™ All-Star Game®. The individual Pitching, Hitting and Running Champion along with the All Around Champion in each age group at the Local Competition will be awarded and advance to the Sectional Competition. All participants must bring a birth certificate and fill out a registration and waiver form prior to the start of the competition. Participants may not use metal cleats.
